Vincent Odotei Sowah is set to be named Hearts CEO

By Patrick Akoto

Vincent Sowah Odotei has emerged as the front runner for the Chief Executive position at Hearts of Oak.

Odotei quits his post at King Faisal on Monday after guiding them back to the elite division and that has heightened reports that he is on his way to take the Hearts job.

Reports in the local media suggest the ambitious football administrator is top of the list of persons being considered for the job and could be confirmed by the Board of Directors on Thursday.

The position has become vacant following the resignation of Fred Crentsil  ahead of the expiration of his contract on October 4.

The former Sekondi Hasaacas Director wants to concentrate fully on his new portfolio as the vice president of the Ghana Football Association and hence decided against seeking another mandate to run the affairs of the club.

Odotei had a bittersweet experience at Hearts when he was appointed as the CEO  in 2008 but is believed to be relishing the prospect of re-uniting with his boyhood club.
