Ex-Ghana star Sarfo-Gyamfi caused a stir at the Ghana Football Association secretariat last week to curse a match official who wrongly accused him. The silver-medalist at the 1992 Nations Cup was spotted with eggs and schnapps to curse an unnamed match official who allegedly lied on him.

Gyamfi, an Asante Kotoko official, was hauled before the FA’s Disciplinary Committee after the unnamed match official told the committee he was abused by him. He was ready to curse the ref with the eggs and schnapps after spotting him at the GFA premises but for the timely intervention of the DC members.

Eggs and schnapps are used in African tradition to curse people.
