Striker Eric Bekoe has revealed he sacrificed his remaining signing on fee in order to complete his move to Asante Kotoko.

The 25-year-old signed a one-year renewable contract with the Ghanaian Champions after he was reluctantly released by Egyptian outfit ?Petroject.

The former Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals man says he has to make financial sacrifies to re-join his childhood club.

?I had one season left on my contract and when I looked at the fact that Kotoko are going to play in the Caf Champions League, it was imperative we come to contribute our quota,? Bekoe told Kumasi-based Fox FM

?I cancelled the contract without taking the money due me from the club. It was part of the reasons why they let me go,?

?When I went to informed the coach and my colleagues, it was obvious on their faces that they were very disappointed,?

?When we were having the meeting over the cancellations, I didn?t know how people got know. A lot of teams started to call and enquire about the situation but I told my agent that my mind was made up,?

?They (Petroject) knew I just wanted to leave Egypt. I have written my name bodly in capital letters in Egypt and for years to come, my name shall always be remembered.?

Bekoe has recovered fully from the troublesome injury which kept him on the sidelines for more than a year and ready to spearhead the attacking force of the Porcupine Warriors.
