A total of about 1800 Students from over 10 schools in the Birim North District in the Eastern Region were given exercise books and pens and as well as the teaching staff, on the 11th July, 2017

Nana Aduako, a resident in the United Kingdom and a Royal of Akoasi together with Hon. George Krobea Asante, the Assembly members of the area, and the Unit Committee Members of Akoasi, made the donations of about 500 Exercise Books and 3000 Pens at the cost of Gh¢4,000 to over 10 Schools in the area.

Notable among the schools that benefited are St. Michael’s SHS, Roman Catholic School, Methodist School, Presby School, Experimental School, Kissinger Baptist Preparatory School, Seven Day Adventist School, Islamic School and Hamilton International School all of Akoasi.

Nana Aduako and His Entourage also made some donation of pens to Staff of Dumpong Rural Bank and Police Officers on duty at Akoasi.

This according to him, was aimed at motivating and encouraging the students to focus on their studies and to continue to learn harder to grow up to become responsible citizens.

Nana further pleaded with the students to study hard for him and also pray for him so that his subsequent visit will witness donation of items such as Laptops, Desk tops, uniforms and to name a few.

In his short address, Hon. George Krobea Asante admonished, students should cultivate the habit of learning, perform their home works and be more obedient to their parents. And also cautioned the students to eschew all manner of deviant behaviors and social activities that have the tendency to affect their studies and future.

The Headmistress of St. Michael’s SHS, Madam Edna, received their own share of the donations and as Oliver Twist, pleaded on Nana and his entourage and all stakeholders to assist the school with an Assembly Hall and a kitchen.
