Bishop David Doe Tamakloe, General Overseer of the New Jerusalem Healing Ministry, has called for the development of a comprehensive policy which will empower the Youth to develop their talents.
Bishop Tamakloe said everything possible must be done to enhance the welfare of the Youth, who are the future leaders of the nation.
The Bishop made the call at the opening of this year?s Youth Leadership Conference, called ?Easter Conference, ? organized by the Ministry at Dunkwa-On-Offin.
About 180 Youth from four branches of the Ministry and other churches are expected to attend the three-day event, which is on the theme: ?Enhancing Youth Leadership?.
It is aimed at sharpening the leadership skills of the participants, and to equip them with techniques to enable them face challenges.
Bishop Tamakloe asked political parties to rally behind the government, to ensure national development, and pointed out that his vision for the church was to strengthen the teaching of the Ministry through the bible class system, and also seek to expand the resources and financial base of the Ministry.
According to him, the headquarters of the Ministry at Dunkwa-On-Offin was working out plans to acquire large hectares of land to embark on Agriculture, such as crop production, fish and animal rearing.
He said if the project was successful, the Ministry could finance its programmes, without levying members.
He called on Ghanaians, particularly Christians, to give towards the work of God, to ensure that the gospel of Christ is spread throughout the world.
