Emmanuel Gyimah (middle) remains at post

The Ghana FA has dismissed reports that General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah has quit his post.

The report came in the wake of accepted recommendations of the Presidential Commission to ban the GFA?s General Secretary from working with any of the national teams.

This recommendation is nearly impossible as the General Secretary of the association is the point of call for any correspondence to the GFA including that of the national team.

It therefore meant Gyimah had to be removed or he must resign.

But the GFA insists their scribe remains at post despite making an earlier request to retire.

?Mr. Gyimah remains at post and he is working,? GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Asempa FM.

?The truth of the matter is that Mr. Gyimah had requested for early retirement.

?The decision to grant him the request is yet to be made and therefore he remains at post.?

Gyimah was heavily criticized for his stuttering delivery during his appearance before the Presidential Commission set up to probe into Ghana?s disastrous campaign at the 2014 World Cup.

He has been accused by the commission of not forthcoming with vital information ? the reason behind the recommendation to have h9m stay clear of national team activities.
