Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has boldly declared he?s totally fit to play an important role in the Black Stars campaign at the ongoing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Udinese star scored Ghana?s opening goal in their 2-2 draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth on Sunday night.

Badu is gradually becoming an indispensable member of the current set-up as the country will rely heavily on him and others to spearhead the country?s challenge at the continental showpiece.

The 22-year-old had a brush with injuries ahead of the start of the competition and fans are hoping he will stay fit to help the Black Stars clinch the ultimate diadem.

The former Ghana Under-20 star has revealed he?s fully fit and battle ready to take the tournament by storm despite the shaky start.

At a press conference organized by the Ghana Federation on Monday, the former Berekum Arsenals reacted to question on his health status and declared ?My friend I?m fit?.

Badu is credited for his fine character, positive attitude, physical prowess and intelligent play on the field.
