Guinea has been declared Ebola-free by the World Health Organization after 42 days without a single case since the recovery of the last Ebola patient.

Emirates Airline suspended its routes to the Guinean capital Conakry on Aug. 2, 2014 after the outbreak of the deadly epidemic.

The disease, which was first reported in west Africa early last year, has left 2,536 people dead out of 3,807 reported cases in Guinea.

Before the suspension, Emirates Airline was making four weekly flights to Conakry. Enditem
