The Proprietor of Elohim Preparatory International School in Akwadum in the Eastern Region Mr Emmanuel Maccatah appeals to the government and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to come to their aid in supplying the school with teaching and learning materials to enhance quality education.

According to him, private schools also contribute their quota to national development and hence must be supported by government.

He also called on financial companies, philanthropist, NGO?s and all and sundry to support the school in diverse ways by providing of infrastructure and library facilities.

Mr Maccatah emphasized that the school was established on the 9th of September 2010 in a wooden structure with six students and three teachers, but currently having about one hundred and fifty students with ten teachers

Their vision was to raise transformation leaders in the society and the country at large, leaders who will fit socially, academically, morally and spiritually.

?Since the school is a Christian school we instill Christian morals in the children, taking of the academic performances of students, they are really performing very well day in and day out, the school came up 2nd in this year?s sixth March celebration in the Municipality,? he said.

He continued by highlighting their challenges as, lack of school buses and classroom blocks.

He finally advised parents to invest in their wards to reap what they have sown, pleading with the youths to engage themselves in short courses, weekend courses to upgrade themselves in their education since education has no limit.
