Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann

A senior lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the University of Ghana, Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann has commended corporate businesses for awarding fresh graduates of the University in terms of sponsorship packages for their academic excellence saying that it was important for students who have done so well to be recognized by these institutions.

She made the statement at the 2013 congregation ceremony of graduands of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy of University of Ghana where a few graduates were awarded cash and prize packages including return tickets to Germany.

CEO of Tobinco pharmaceuticals, Nana Samuel Amo Tobin awarded the best pharmacy student with a return ticket to London, a laptop amongst other prizes.

Dr. Kaufmann also advised the fresh graduates to pursue higher education adding that a first degree was only a start and a stepping stone. She further encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the University.
