Christian Vera, DHL Vice President of sales for Sub-Saharan Africa, said his outfit seeks to invest in Ghana due to the boundless opportunities.

He said: Africa is one of DHLs key focal areas. The International Monetary Fund, economic growth in Sub-Saharan African 2014 is expected to grow to be around six per cent. This growth couples with more than one billion consumers who spend $ 600 billion annually as well as having the fastest growing middle class in the world proving boundless opportunities and Ghana is our key target.

He said DHL would meet various stakeholders in the country to discuss trade and development opportunities to open avenues for individuals to fit into the strategy coupled with their training programmes.

Africa represents a significant opportunity and Ghana is undoubtedly a key market for us. In the last 10 years weve seen fantastic development in the country. Key for this growth has been the development of Small and Medium Enterprises, which clearly is the growth engine for Africa and critical sustainable growth where the key for their success lies in expanding their business internationally.

The companys manager for Ghana, Kader Coulibaly, noted that people are the core of their business and motivated employees deliver great service quality to customers to help create a sustainable and improving economy.
