UDUAGHAN ORDERS ARREST OF ILLEGAL DREDGERS 1

Delta State Police Commissioner, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba has warned criminals in the state to turn a new leaf or be prepared to face the consequences when apprehended.
Aduba gave the warning during the donation of a hilux van and other security and communication gadgets by the commissioner representing Ndokwa nation at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development
Commission (DESOPADEC), Rev. Chukwudi Eke to Ndokwa Vigilante group at Ashaka, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state.
He reiterated the state police command?s commitment to fighting crime to a standstill in the state, even as he solicited the support of members of the public by giving the police and other security agencies
useful information that will enhance their operations.
The Delta Police Boss condemned in strong terms, a situation where members of vigilante groups were involved in kidnapping and other criminal activities, adding that a member of Abraka Vigilante group
who was involved in the kidnap of a staff of the Delta State University, Abraka had been arrested while investigation was on going.
In his remarks, Rev. Eke said the donation of the vehicle and other security and communication gadgets was to promote the peace and security agenda of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan led administration.
He enjoined the vigilante group to use the vehicle effectively and partner with the police and other security agencies in checkmating crime in the area.
On his part, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Hon. Alex Aniche thanked Rev. Eke for his kind gesture and the Delta State Police Command for their commitment to crime fighting in the state.
