JERUSALEM — Two Israelis died on Wednesday in a Palestinian stabbing attack near Jerusalem’s Old City, while assailants were shot dead on site by police.

ANKARA — A Turkish security forces soldier was killed and five other soldiers and a civilian were injured, in an explosion in southeast Turkey Wednesday, Turkish media reported.

ISTANBUL — An explosion occurred in Istanbul’s international Sabiha Gokcen airport on Wednesday, wounding two cleaning staff, a local official said.

TEHRAN — Iran and Oman began joint rescue and relief naval drills in the east of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf on Wednesday, official IRNA news agency reported.

Commander of Iran’s First Naval Zone, Amir Hossein Azad, announced the beginning of the two-day maritime drills, saying that the maneuver, by Iran and Oman, aims to guarantee security of ships passing through the strait and moving in the region. (Iran-Oman-Drill) Enditem
