Ghanaian gospel minister Danny Addo has officially released his debut album, The Refreshing, following the successful staging of his inaugural live worship concert, Undignified 1.0, which served as the album’s official launch event last week.

The concert took place on Friday, March 6, at CCC Atasomanso near Atasomanso Market in Kumasi, drawing a congregation of worshippers for what attendees described as an evening of intense praise and spiritual encounter. Fellow gospel ministers Quame Gyedu, Sandy Asare, and Joshua Ahenkorah joined Addo on stage to minister during the event, which drew its inspiration from the biblical account in 2 Samuel 6:22.

The 9-track project represents a significant milestone for an artist whose ministry spans more than a decade. Addo, widely known for his worship anthem “Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song),” also serves as Music Director for The Mega Church’s Phanerosis Choir in addition to his personal music ministry.

“My mission has always been to lead people into divine encounters through music. The Refreshing is a sound birthed from prayer, worship, and a deep desire to see lives transformed through the presence of God,” he said.

The album blends contemporary gospel with local highlife elements across nine tracks: Do It Again, Adom Nyame, Reason, Hwe Nea Awurade Aye featuring Kwadwo Awortey, Okum Yen Daa, Anigye Praise Medley, Time of Refreshing featuring Pastor Sammy Obeng-Poku, Well Done, and The Benediction.

The Refreshing is now available on all major streaming platforms.
