A winner at the Ashfoam Monthly Medal Golf Tournament receiving his prize

DANIEL NTIM exhibited sublime golfing skills to emerge champion in the men’s category of the April edition of Ashfoam Monthly Medal tournament in Kumasi.

He won with a 68 net score followed by Maxwell Bonsu 70 net, who fought hard to beat B.K. Baiden on count back.

The ladies version was won by Felicity Okyei Gyeabuor as Constance Awuni, settled for the runner-up position after a fierce contest on the greens.

The Ashfoam Monthly Medal Golf tournament is played every month to help golfers at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi reduce their handicaps.

The tournament, which has lucrative prizes at stake, is also played to help boost the level of friendship and oneness among the golfers of the club.

As usual, golfers that displayed class during the April edition of the tournament took home giant trophies and valuable souvenirs from Ashfoam.

Ashfoam, over the years, had played key roles in helping to promote golf at the Royal Golf Club, which has the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as its life patron.

In his address, Francis Donkor-Baah, Captain of Royal Golf Club, commended Ashfoam for their invaluable support over the years.

He was also happy about the huge patronage and the high level of performance that was showcased by golfers that contested for top honours on the day.

Donkor-Baah said proper plans have been put in place to make the 59th MTN Asantehene Gold Cup and the 3rd Ecobank Youth Golf Tournament, a success.

He explained that the new accounts software installed at the club is meant to ensure efficiency in the day-to-day management of the club.
