The Deputy Managing Director of United Bank for Africa (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo has been appointed Managing Director of UBA Tanzania.

Mr. Addo is a pioneering staff of UBA Ghana and assumes this new role after 7 years of dedicated service to the bank, during which he served in various capacities — the last two being Executive Director and Deputy Managing Director with primary responsibility for the bank’s profitability and balance sheet growth, and added responsibility for all the business units of the bank.

Daniel Addo thus becomes the first Ghanaian to assume the position of MD/CEO within the UBA Group.

He is a Chartered Accountant with seventeen years post-qualification experience. A former Member of the Technical and Research Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), he has also served as a member of the Institute’s Task Force on Convergence with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Daniel holds an MBA in Finance from the Manchester Business School.
