Omar Daf claims Jordan Ayew has improved

Sochaux assistant manager Omar Daf insists Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew improved his qualities during his loan spell at the relegated Ligue 1 side and would return to Marseille as a better player.

The 22-year-old spent the second-half of the season at the Stade Auguste-Bonal where he contributed 5 goals in 17 games to their campaign as the Yellow and Blacks failed to beat the drop on the final day of the Ligue 1 season.

However despite the general disappointment among players and officials at the club, assistant manager Omar Daf, a former Senegalese international, insists Ayew will return to Marseille with his head high.

?Ayew gets everyone up. He takes full advantage of his talent,? the former Senegal international told the club?s website. ?People have the catalog for his behavior. But since he is here, everyone is surprised because he is very intelligent, nice and hardworking. He asked all the time for additional meetings.

The former Teranga Lions star added: ?I hope his Sochaux period has made him grow and allow him to really take off.?

Jordan is expected in Ghana this week to join his Black Stars team-mates to begin pre-World Cup camping at home before moving to Europe.
