The April edition of Soul to Soul as many have agreed delivered a variation of entertainment that went beyond all expectations and left organisers with their work cut out to dream up an equally impressive bash for the next edition which comes off on the first Friday of next month.

?I?m losing a lot less sleep than Mourinhno or Tito Vilanova ? was the response to the question of keeping up standards by a confident CEO of Karl Aubyn, the event organisers. ?We have grown from strength to strength since the launch in December and will up the ante on May 3rd. ?

Indeed the last edition kicked off with smooth jazz music before meandering through hit after hit from the ages by Bessa Simmons and band who were just so ?on point? on the night that it was difficult to notice the intermittent switch from live band to Dj as has been the signature of Soul II Soul since its inception. The audience at the April edition were treated to powerful performances from Ofie and Jones, who sang hit songs from the 70s and 80s through a variety of genres.

The crowd was literally taken by surprise when the Guest Artiste, Daasebre Gyamenah walked onto the stage.? After years away from the public eye and major platforms, he didn?t seem to have lost his silky voice or the affection of his adoring fans. The dance floor was packed with fans who just wanted him to sing all night as they twisted, shook and gyrated every ligament to tune after tune.

The lyrics of Sherry, Still I Love You, Sete and Wo K?daa Kaeme were as fresh in peoples? minds as current hits, as almost everyone present was chanting the songs the dynamic musician sang. ?Oh what a night…best by far?, a patron who had been a regular to the event since its inception, said in response to a question about her views on the April edition. ?The organisers, also expressed delight in having given old school music lovers a night to remember as people were still on the dance floor through the early hours, whilst others were enjoying the mouth-watering complimentary kenkey, fish and pork? with their champagne cocktails.

With no doubt the April event was a huge success and the coming May Edition is expected be nothing short of the yardstick but also organisers have made promises to raise the bar so as to keep their patrons overwhelmed time and again.

To find out what other surprises Karl Aubyn Events and +233 have up their sleeves, guess we would have to be at the next event on May 3rd as they are keeping it all top secret.
