Burkina Faso civil society organizations will deploy about 800 observers in 351 municipalities for the supervision of municipal elections to be held on May 22 in the West Africa country, a source close to the matter said Friday.

“About 800 observers will be recruited and trained before being deployed across the country, two in every municipality,” Lucien Ouedraogo, program officer of NGO Diakonia, said during a press conference.
