The suspended National Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) says the series of spiteful attacks hurled at him by his predecessor James Kwabina Bomfe, popularly known as Kabila, are borne out of envy.

Speaking on Asempa FM Tuesday, the embattled youth leader said the posture of Kabila was simply out of jealousy of his outstanding performance whiles in office, hitherto his suspension.

“Kabila is envious of me because I have transformed the youth league and we are making an impact in Ghana’s body politic,” said Yeboah.

Mr. Yeboah Monday declared that he was still the leader of the youth command of the CPP, stating that the party’s suspension of Nii Armah Akomfrah and himself was illegal.

Mr. Yeboah and Akomfrah were suspended earlier last month following their scathing criticisms of President John Dramani Mahama in the wake of the Ford gift saga, a stance that contradicted the party’s flagbearer.

They were subsequently referred to the Party’s Disciplinary Committee – which cleared them in a report. However, the leadership repudiated their exoneration, explaining that the Disciplinary Committee’s report is inconclusive.

As a result, the two men remain suspended until a new report is presented.
