Guo Yezhou, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), led a delegation to visit Angola since Sunday at the invitation of Angolan ruling party People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola(MPLA).

Guo met Luisa Damiao, the MPLA vice president, on Monday in Luanda to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two parties.

Speaking to the press, the Chinese official said the meeting served to strengthen relations between Angola and China, mainly in the party sphere.

Guo added that friendly relations between the MPLA and the CPC remain “excellent”.

The Chinese official also highlighted both parties’ achievements in the development of their respective countries.

“It is necessary to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and the outcome of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, inherit the traditional friendship, innovative cooperation mode, strengthen the exchange of experience in managing the party and the country, and promote the relationship between the two parties and two countries.” Guo said.
