The Coalition of Unemployed Midwives and Nurses have threatened to hit the streets by July,15 if nothing is done about their condition.

The coalition earlier rescinded its decision to strike after meeting with Health Minister, Alexander Segbefia.

Over 2000 registered Midwives and Nurses across-board have been rendered unemployed as the government has failed so far to absorb them into the various health facilities in the country, leader of the group, Daniel Dapaah told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Monday.

He says countless petitions on their condition have fallen on deaf ears hence the decision to embark on the strike.

?We have been idle for the past 7 months; wasting our skills.?

?Government has spent every resource to train us, therefore we expect that we should be provided with jobs so we can also serve in the public health facilities, considering the overwhelming workload in our facilities.?
