The veteran trainer who is reportedly battling an illness for the past few months has decided to make a last ditch attempt to claim the arrears.

The former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach has been out of active coaching since leaving Inter Allies in 2016, and has not been visible since.

A family source told the former Black Stars coach has been battling illness for some time now.

But despite this, he has had to go through difficult times trying to claim his entitlements for his time with the Local Black Stars during the 2009 CHAN tournament and services to the two aforementioned clubs.

Addo led Aduana Stars to a historic league title in 2009 and the source reveals that, the Dormaa-based club have refused to settle his severance package.

“He has been chasing the debtors for a very long time and it is one of the reasons he decided to quit the (coaching) job”,

“At the moment, he is not well at all but this week, he was able to walk to his lawyers and I know they have written to the GFA and these clubs as a final caution”

“His lawyer is Larbi Amoah and I understand the issue is already in court because he has suffered a lot”, the source said

“He tells me Kotoko had paid him after he petitioned the Asantehene, whiles Hearts of Oak have also paid part of the debt but it is Aduana that owes him a chunk of the debt”, The source added
Hebert Addo is currently on retirement after Coaching for more three decades

The veteran recently announced his retirement from coaching after revealing that he was owed to the tune of over GH¢100,000 by several clubs including Hearts of Oak, Kotoko and Aduana Stars.
