Deputy Health Minister Victor Bampoe has revealed that his boss had planned to make changes in the management of the Central Medical Store a day before the facility was consumed by fire.

The country lost drugs and equipment meant for distribution to the various health posts nationwide, when fire destroyed the facility leaving nothing to be saved.

It took fire fighters days to quench the blaze.

?What surprises us is that the day before he was supposed to take an action this thing occurred?he was supposed to ask certain people to do certain things.

?That?s why it?s very interesting that the fire occurred when it occurred,? Bampoe told Joy FM Tuesday.

So far, four senior officials of the health ministry have been interdicted following incriminatory report on the fire pending further investigations.

They are Director Procurement, Samuel Boateng; Director Supply Stores and Drug Management at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Kwesi Addai Donkor; Head of Stores at the Central Medical Stores, Abdul Karim Iddrisu; and Programmes Manager of the Malaria Control Programme, Dr Constance Bart-Plange.
