Berekum Chelsea striker, Emmanuel Clottey continued his impressive display in the CAF Champions League when he bagged a hat-trick to ensure that his side runs away 3-2 victors over Egyptian side, Zamalek.

The Berekum side who were playing in Accra due to CAF?s directive that they use an alternative stadium aside the Golden City park had to come from behind to snatch victory from the Egyptians.

Burkinabe striker Abdoulaye Cisse, leading the Egyptian attack put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute before Clottey got the equalizer in the 29th minute.

In the 34th minute however, the Burkinabe was on the score sheet again as he put the Egyptians back in the lead.  The first half of the game therefore ended 2-1 in favour of Zamalek.

Berekum Chelsea fired from all cylinders when the second half re-opened and immediately got the equalizer through their talismanic marksman, Emmanuel Clottey again.

The President Cup winners pressed on for the much needed winning goal after the equalizer but all efforts proved futile.

Coach Hans Van Der Pluijm made some changes in the course of the second half bringing on striker Musa Mohammed, Joseph Ato Bissah and Ibrahim Issaka to increase the pressure on the Egyptian defense.

Chelsea kept on piling pressure on Zamalek and in the 90th minute of the game, Champions League topscorer, Emmanuel Clottey, grabbed his ninth goal of the competition ensuring that Chelsea returned to Berekum with all three points.

The hat-trick by Clottey happens to be his second in the competition as he scored similar in the 5-0 thumping of Raja Casablanca in the second round.

The Champions League debutants next meet TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi on the 21st of July.
