Reverend Dr Hilliard K. Dela Dogbe, the Presiding Bishop, African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, has called on the public to use the season of Easter to reach out to the marginalized the in society.

This act of love, the Presiding Bishop said, was important because Easter signifies the embodiment of God’s unfailing love for humanity and the ultimate sacrifice He makes to restore mankind into fellowship with Himself.

“As we celebrate Easter, let us collectively resolve to make the needed sacrifices to make our world a better place”, Reverend Dogbe said in a Easter message copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

He said the triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter gave Christians a living hope, not only for the future but for today.

“Easter gives us opportunity for a fresh start and a purpose driven journey through life, with Jesus Christ as our companion and personal guide”.

He urged Ghanaians to make resources available and work together to contain the spread of the global pandemic into God’s glory.

Reverend Dogbe appealed to all to adhere to all the health precautions and directives issued out by the Presidency and the health agencies to contain the spread of the virus.

This, he explained, was necessary because, the pandemic does not discriminate against anybody. He commended the efforts of frontline health workers who each day continue to place their lives at risk in seeking to ensure the health and wellbeing of all in the midst of the pandemic.

Reverend Dogbe thanked the security agencies who continue to enforce order and ensure safety in the various towns and to all others who have contributed in diverse ways to make the nation and the world a better place.

He lauded the policy interventions by President Akufo-Addo and other leaders in the sub-region and the rest of the world to help bring the coronavirus pandemic under control.

“We pray for God’s grace and wisdom we pray for our leaders in this challenging times of Covid -19 so that we will win the battle against the pandemic”.
