Former Ghana coach Claude Le Roy has advised trainer Kwesi Appiah to be his own man and swat aside player imposition as he prepares to lead the Black Stars at the World Cup finals.

The Frenchman suspects certain officials in Ghana football will be campaigning for some players to make his squad for the tournament.

Le Roy, a well-travelled coach on the African continent, is aware of the temptations for a national team coach to kowtow to pressure from their bosses.

?The Coach should be a tough man and make his own calls because Ghana is a strong footballing national with great players,? Le Roy Told Al malakoot Sat

?I think he (Kwesi Appiah) knows the magnitude of the competition he is going into and that should serve enough motivation to try and work with the best to achieve results for his country.

?Ghana?s ability to qualify from the group will depend on the players selected and the mental set they carry into the tournament.??

Le Roy was named Ghana coach in 2006 and led the Black Stars to win bronze at the Nations Cup finals on home in 2008 before he left.

He has Cameroon, DR Congo and now in-charge of Congo.
