This involved improvement of the bath and washrooms, installation of an air conditioner, television set connected to satellite dish and branded curtains.

The ward has now been named after the Reverend Sam Korankye-Ankrah, the General Overseer, to coincide with his 56th birthday.

On hand, to jointly inaugurate it were Pastor Dzifa Gakpledzi, Director of Administration, Royal House Chapel International, and the Eastern Regional Head of the Church, the Rev Paul Okyere Boateng.

The pair spoke of the church’s resolve to continue to reach out to the poor, the sick and the vulnerable in the society.

They expressed optimism that the upgrading of the ward would significantly help improve maternal health care.

Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah, Medical Director of the Hospital, said they were grateful to the church for its tremendous assistance to the facility over the years.

He invited other churches, philanthropists and NGOs to emulate.
