The Reverend Father Emmanuel K. Dotse, Parish Priest of Saint Augustine?s Catholic Church, Hohoe, said Christ?s resurrection should be a source of joy to stimulate change of attitudes and mindset among Christians to do good always.

He exhorted Christians and Muslims alike to ?Let the good for the other? transcend the national psyche and shore up nation building, in spite of culture, belief, colour or status.

Rev Fr Dotse, in a homily on Easter Sunday urged all especially those in leadership positions, be it religious, political or traditional to lead in newness and shun corruptible tendencies.

?Leadership without God or Allah is a curse to the people,? he said praying that Christ?s rebirth should translate into good governance and the rule of law.

Rev Fr Dotse called for rekindling and newness of mindset to environmental issues, saying: ?If cleanliness is next to Godliness,? then our lifestyles must demonstrate that by protecting God?s property.

He said God?s plans for mankind would be fulfilled since all is created in His image, and it behoves mankind to realise that and live resplendent lifestyles.

Meanwhile, Rev Charles Gbekle, Pastor of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, climaxing the weeklong Convention of the Church in Hohoe, on the theme, ?Moving in the Resurrection Power,? said the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ opened a new chapter to mankind with God.

He said the historical event therefore ended man?s alienation from God, urging the youth to take their lives to God in prayer and not be fascinated by inordinate material things.

Rev Gbekle said the penchant for wealth by the youth, irrespective of channels to acquire it and alcohol-driven adverts for aphrodisiac derivatives should be condemned.
