Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OPPO, on Monday launched into the Kenyan market a new selfie expert, the F3 Plus, which has enhanced camera features.

F3 PlusOPPO Kenya CEO, Andrew Peng told journalists in Nairobi the new phone will eliminate the use of selfie stick and provide the best selfie experience to users because of its in-built wide angle camera.

“The new F3 Plus will provide the best visual experience in image beautification to our customers who will also enjoy the beauty of technology in the process,” the CEO said.

To provide the best selfie experience to users, the device sports dual front cameras, one 16 megapixel camera and one 8 megapixel 120° wide-angle camera.

With two cameras, users will be able to snap a classic solo shot as well as group shots.

The device’s finger-print reader is equipped with a finger reader with a membrane that is not repulsive to water which has an enhanced success rate even when a user’s fingers are moist.

The CEO said the gadget will retail locally at 330 U.S. dollars, adding that orders for the first shipment can be placed between May 16 and 22.

The Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CK), Francis Wangusi, urged consumers to purchase smart phones that are tamper-proof and which cannot be changed or interfered with.

“I am not marketing them, but OPPO products have been approved by CK because they are tamper-proof and therefore meet international standards,” Wangusi said.

The smartphone brand has been a pioneer and now a leader in the sphere of image beautification and is keeping with its tradition of providing an exceptional picture quality and elaborate visual experience. Enditem
