American adventure film “A Dog’s Way Home” will hit Chinese screens on Jan. 18.

Based on a book by W. Bruce Cameron, the film follows a dog named Bella who embarks on a journey to get back home after being separated from her owners.

“It’s a story about true love,” said the director Charles Martin Smith. “Many people wonder what the world looks like through a dog’s eyes. Maybe Bella will tell people the answer, as well as her views on her owner and nature.”

Another story by Cameron, “A Dog’s Purpose,” premiered in China in March 2017. Enditem
