A Chinese firm has offered to buy a bus for a local school in Chongwe district, in Zambia’s Lusaka Province, a government official said on Friday.
District Commissioner Robster Mwanza praised Zhong Yang Eco-Agriculture Industry Park for partnering with the government in developmental projects in the community.
He urged other firms in the area to emulate the gesture of goodwill and come on board to help the government in delivering social services to the people.
Mwanza said the bus will help raise student attendance and improve their performance at the rural school.
He said the Chinese company has also offered to build a wall fence around the school to make it safer for the children.
Fredrick Sashi, administrative manager of Zhong Yang Eco-Agriculture Industry Park, thanked the Zambian government for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Enditem
