Mr Samuel Kwame Quaye, the Awutu Senya West District Chief Executive (DCE), has urged the chiefs and people to contribute their quota to the development of the area.

“I want to appeal to the chiefs and people of Awutuman to come together to support the District Assembly in its developmental quest to make living conditions comfortable for all of us,” he said.

Mr Quaye made the call at the launch of the 2017 Awutu Awubia Festival of the chiefs and people of Awutu Beraku in the Central Region, which comes off on August 22.

Nai Adawu Duaquaye, the Tufuhene of Awutu Beraku Traditional Area speaking with the Ghana News Agency said peace and unity was prevailing among the people.

He therefore asked the citizens staying outside to come and participate in the celebrations of the festival to observe their rich culture and to contribute towards the progress of their communities.
