He said it was unpatriotic for voters to stay away from the general elections saying “your participation is important and obligatory.”

Togbi Fiti made the call during the commissioning of a modern bus terminal for the Metro Mass Transport Limited (MMT) on Monday at Aflao.

He cautioned the people against total boycott of the elections and urged them to “at least vote for someone.”

Togbe Fiti’s call was necessitated by unconfirmed reports of disinterest of electorate in the area in the impending elections.

Aflao is a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress but the commercial town has witnessed regular political activities by New Patriotic Party in recent times.
