Recently, some chiefs have received public bashing and excoriation for certain comments they have made publicly when the President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama was on his Accounting to People Tour.

The Paramount Chief of Kwahu in the Eastern region Nana Asiedu Agyeman III who is also the Abetifi and Adontenhene of Kwahu Traditional Council was alleged to have endorsed the 2nd term bid of President Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) when the president visited the area while touring the Eastern region.

An allegation he subsequently denied. Nana Nkrawiri allegedly forecasted 70 to 80 per cent victory for President John Dramani Mahama’s led National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

Meanwhile what is not clear is how the ruling NDC and President Mahama will see the latest comment coming from a traditional ruler.
