The local component of the Black Stars wrapped up preparations for the second leg of the CHAN qualifier against the Local Elelphants of Cote d’Ivoire at the Stade Robert Champroux this evening.

Maxwell Konadu’s side started Thursday afternoon’s training with warm up exercises which climaxed into half pitch speed work with the ball.

Maxwell divided the side into two with Richard Ofori in post for one side and Felix Annan in post for the other.

The players enthusiastically thrilled the fans at the Ivorian capital with beautiful reflexes as Sarbahn Laryea opened the scoring at the afternoon’s training with a thunderbolt strike from thirty yards.

Samuel Tetteh followed it up with a nice curler after taking on Amos Frimpong on the left swiftly tearing away from Lawrence Lartey to place the ball behind Richard Ofori who could not lay hands on the ball after stretching to his elastic limit.

The day’s training session came to a close with all the eighteen players testing their legs on the ball by taking penalty kicks.

All but Kennedy Ashia, Baba Mensah and Kwasi Donsu missed their kicks but were second time lucky when they were asked to retake their kicks.

Abeiku Ainooson led the team to warm down with the jama session as the technical team and the playing sung and danced around.
