The return of Chadian contingents comes at a time when an internal front has been opened against Boko Haram in Chad’s Lake region.

For over a month now, a state of emergency has been imposed in this region that borders Cameroon, Nigeria and Niger, and which, according to the Chadian authorities, is the main point of entry and operation base for Boko Haram.

In the recent past, the region has witnessed a spate of violence characterized by explosions and suicide attacks by members of this terrorist sect. Enditem
