Members of the Association of Catholic Teachers (ACT)-Ghana, have sent a congratulatory message to Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, the newly-installed Archbishop of the Catholic Accra Archdiocese, on his appointment.

The message which was jointly signed by Mr Williams Boakye Baafi, the National Coordinator and Mr Frank Believer Kuade, the National Coordinating Secretary respectively and copied to the Ghana News Agency, praised the new Archbishop for his earnest work, which earned him such a position.

The statement described Archbishop Kwofie, who is also the Episcopal Chairman of Education of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference and the National Spiritual Director, as one who loved to make positive marks at every place he was sent to work.

“Your commitment and exuberance to duty cannot be underestimated as you always fulfil the expectations of people around you”, the statement noted.

Archbishop Kwofie was the fourth Bishop of Sekondi -Takoradi Catholic Diocese before he was transferred by the Church to Accra Catholic Archdiocese, as the fifth Archbishop of Accra.
He succeeded Most Rev. Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, who is also on transfer to the Cape Coast Catholic Archdiocese.

The Association prayed that his new appointment would help him bring more faithfuls into the Catholic Church in the Accra Catholic Archdiocese.

The statement called on Association members in Accra Archdiocese, to work hand in hand with the new Archbishop and make his dream a reality.
