Andre Ayew is eyeing the African Footballers of the Year award

As CAF awards hold tonight, January 7 in Abuja, all eyes are on who emerges the African Footballer of the Year for 2015.

The contenders are 4-time-winner, Yaya Toure, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon and Ghana’s Ayew Pele who will be hoping to walk in his father’s footsteps.

The last time a Ghanaian won the awards was in 1992 and it was won by the legendary Abedi Pele who incidentally is the father of Ayew.

Ghanaians and some other soccer pundits across the continent are expectant of witnessing history being made tonight.
