The first edition of Global Entrepreneurship Week started on Monday in Cameroon’s capital city, Yaounde, to promote originality and creativity in entrepreneurship to attract foreign investment.

The theme of the event is “Undertaking together to achieve our emergence.”

It was in line with the implementation of the second phase of Cameroon’s Vision 2035, which begins in 2020 with the aim of achieving a double-digit growth rate, Cameroon’s Minster of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts Achille Bassilekin III told an opening ceremony.

More than 200 entrepreneurs from Cameroon and abroad are taking part in the event that ends on Friday.

“The overall objective is to promote initiative or entrepreneurship among the population in order to stimulate economic activity for the achievement of our strategic development objectives,” Bassilekin said. Enditem
