Ghana India Advisory Chambers President Dominic Oduro Antwi has challenged investors to transition from rhetoric to tangible nation-building, declaring Ghana requires “realistic solutions, not more conferences.”
Speaking at the 11th Business Executive Excellence Awards in Accra, Antwi framed the event’s theme – “Raising Business Performance to Drive Ghana’s Economic Rebound” – as an urgent mandate.
“Africa does not need more seminars and promises,” Antwi asserted during his keynote address. He called for investors to back sustainable ventures, urged entrepreneurs to prioritize innovation and productivity, and pressed policymakers to cultivate transparent, enabling environments. The business leader emphasized that Ghana’s recovery hinges on operational excellence and ethical leadership within local enterprises, not just policy changes or foreign capital.
The ceremony recognized sector leaders including Methodist University Vice-Chancellor (Outstanding Tertiary Education Personality), Eagle Eye Mining CEO Godwin Donkoh (Precious Minerals Exporter), and Energy Pharmaceuticals’ Bharat Gopal (Essential Pharmaceutical Care). Donkoh told Asaase News the award motivates “responsible mining and value addition.” Other honorees spanned climate solutions, hospitality, education, and engineering sectors.
Antwi concluded by rallying attendees toward concrete improvements: “Together, let us raise business performance to drive Ghana’s economic rebound.” The awards highlighted private sector contributions to national development amid current economic challenges.
