Chicago P.D.’s Detective Erin Lindsay is leaving the force after four seasons, but the actress who brought her to life, Sophia Bush, is revealing the surprising inspiration for her performance. In the new issue of Life & Style magazine, on newsstands now, Sophia admits that Bruce Willis was the main influence in playing a detective – and shares her excitement of working alongside him on their upcoming film Acts of Violence.
“The reason why I play a cop on TV is because I was obsessed with Die Hard,” the Chicago P.D. actress tells Life & Style, adding that the movie helped shape her career.
Sophia recalls meeting Bruce, 62, while working on their upcoming film Acts of Violence, “When he first walked in, I was like, ‘Holy s—, that’s Bruce Willis! You were my idol, dude!’ ”
She admits to Life & Style that she was starstruck, but made it her mission to treat Bruce like a regular guy. “I had to let that subside and let him just become a person, which is what any actor appreciates.”
“It was really fun to play his partner,” the 34-year-old gushes to Life & Style.
