Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly using their own photograph of Prince George as the official portrait as they don’t want to disturb his routine with a professional photo shoot.

The Duchess is reportedly keen to break tradition by opting to use snaps taken by herself and her family of the tiny tot because she’s adamant not to disturb his routine with a formal photo shoot.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Kate has a great eye for pictures and wants the first official ones of George to be natural and in a relaxed environment.”

A royal spokesman confirmed the news: “One of the options they are looking at is releasing a couple of family photos they have taken themselves.”

In another modern twist, the portraits of the royal baby are expected to be revealed in a post via a link on the Clarence House Twitter account early next week.

The baby – who is third in line to the throne – will remain at Catherine’s parents’ Michael and Carole Middleton’s home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, with Catherine while William returns to work in Anglesey, north Wales.

However, William won’t be away for long since he is expected to quit his RAF position next month for a new military role.

He is rumoured to be joining the Household Calvary Blues and Royals Regiment at its Windsor or Knightsbridge barracks in order to have more flexibility to take on royal commitments.
