Former U-17 national team midfielder moves to Austrian champions, Red Bull

Former KVC Westerlo player and Golden Eaglet, Bright Osagie, completed a move to the Austrian league, where he signed a four-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg.

Ekeocha expressed optimism that Osagie would be a major hit in Austria, describing him as a bundle of talent.

”His work permit will be ready early next week,? said Ekeocha to reporters.

?This boy is a special talent and I am predicting he will be the next big thing in Nigerian football.”

The 18-year-old was given the number 11 shirt. The player is known for his ability with both feet and breathtaking pace with or without the ball.

He is expected to be a major boost for Red Bull Salzburg who currently occupy the third position in the 10-team Austrian Bundesliga.

Osagie had initially signed a contract with Belgian club, Racing Genk, in June, but the deal did not go well after Westerlo failed to reach an agreement with Genk on the player’s transfer fee.
