Actor Brad Pitt?s mother this week published a letter making it clear who she won?t be voting for in November: President Obama.

She describes Obama, using his full name

?Barack Hussein Obama,? as ?a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright?s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.?

The letter to the editor of Missouri?s Springfield News-Leader is signed Jane Pitt and was published July 3. It was a response to an op-ed discussing Christian resistance to Mitt Romney on the basis of his Mormonism.

Pitt strongly defended Romney in the letter, which seems a de facto endorsement of Romney.

?I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,? she wrote. ?Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney?s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama.?

She went on to urge Christians to vote in November, because it is ?a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.?

The newspaper later verified that the mother of actor Brad Pitt penned the letter. Pitt was raised in Springfield, Mo., and his mother and brother still live in the community. Pitt and fianc? Angelina Jolie are not known for their conservative values, and Pitt has been outspoken in his support of gay rights, including gay marriage. Obama recently endorsed gay marriage and has since made his stance a significant component of his reelection campaign.

The Hill?s In the Know reported that Pitt and Jolie had a brief Oval Office meeting with Obama while in Washington in January.
