Commonwealth Games silver medalist Abraham Mensah has publicly challenged Ghana’s national featherweight champion Stanley “Ashanti Warrior” Nyantekyi.
In an Omashi TV interview, Mensah accused Nyantekyi of facing “overhyped, cheap opponents” and vowed to dethrone him to reclaim prominence in Ghana’s boxing scene.
The Seconds Out Gym trainee, nicknamed “Unstoppable,” acknowledged delayed career momentum but declared readiness for top featherweight and super-featherweight bouts. “I have arrived and want to do it quickly,” Mensah stated, thanking management and fans while asserting his return “in grand style.” With one professional fight to date, he emphasized boxing as his singular vocation and path to becoming a “world beater.”
Mensah, a Street Academy graduate and former Black Bombers amateur, contrasted professional and amateur experiences but embraced both. “I’m coming like a wounded tiger,” he warned rivals, positioning himself as the division’s “real champ.” The challenge intensifies Ghana’s domestic boxing rivalries ahead of potential title negotiations.
