A Non-Governmental Organisation in Wa, Humu Foundation has supported Bosuoyiri M/A Primary School with 50 dual desks after the Ghana News Agency reported about the distressed situation of the school in February.

The school with a total enrolment of about 107, had its primary two, one and Kindergarten one and two pupils, numbering 80 cramped into one classroom without a single desk or teacher’s furniture.

The pupils were also exposed to vagaries of the weather and unhygienic environmental conditions as they sit on dusty filthy bare ground to receive lessons from their distraught teachers who complained about their dire condition.

However, a donation of 50 dual desks at the cost of GHC5,000.00 by Hajia Humu Awudu, relieved the school children and teachers of their plight and re-positioned them to go on with their academics smoothly.

Mr Charles Kijemore, a teacher of the School, who disclosed the donation to the GNA said he received the dual desk on behalf of authorities and thanked the Foundation for swiftly coming to their aid.
