Author and Regional NPP Executives Announce Book Launching and Fund-Raising Event

The Author in collaboration with the Brong Ahafo Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) announces today the launching and fund-raising event for a new book titled, Returning the Elephant into the City: The Unfinished Contract with Ghana. Proceeds would benefit the NPP Presidential Campaign 2016. The event would be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 6: 30 P. M. at Tyco City Hotel in Sunyani. Admission would be strictly by invitation.
This book lays bare the reasons why sub-Sahara Africa and, of course, Ghana continue to wallow in socio-economic underdevelopment. ?The ship of state is drifting farther and farther away from the anchor of Plato?s model and concept of the philosopher-king,? says Dr. Charles Addo, author of the book. But ?a true pilot must of necessity pay attention to the seasons, the heavens, the stars, the winds, and everything proper to the craft if he is really to rule a ship,? Dr. Addo quoted from Plato?s The Republic.DAILY GRAPHIC BOOK LAUNCH IMAGE
The organizers expect this book launching and fund-raising to be a landmark event to set the record straight about the perceived disunity within the NPP towards victory 2016. Included in the broad spectrum of invited dignitaries to this event are Minority Members of Parliament, NPP National and Regional Executive Members, Senior Members of the Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Business Leaders, and other invited Guests.
The NPP 2016 Presidential Candidate, Hon. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, and His Excellency former President John Agyekum Kufuor are expected to be the Special Guest of Honour and Chairman at the event respectively.
Ghana needs a leadership with strong moral compass directive properties. This calls for a non-negotiable submergence of self-interest into the collective interest. This will permit the forging of the bonds of solidarity, in order to solve our common leadership deficit problems to the total glory of the people of Ghana.
