Local people who were quoted by the media said the attack took place while the villagers gathered for meal which broke the Ramadan fasting. The governor of Lake Region, Yunus Kedallah Hamid, went to the site on Tuesday and said the attack left 3 people killed and a dozen injured.

Hamid said the villagers were killed because they rejected the ideology of the terrorist group and refused to go with them.

Two suicide bomb attacks took place in Chadian capital N’Jamena on June 15, leaving 38 people killed and over 100 injured. The Chadian government blamed that Boko Haram was behind these attacks.
