Black Stars management committee chief George Afriyie has downplayed the poor attendance to the friendly match against Togo on Monday.

Ghana secured a slim 1-0 win over their West African neighbours courtesy a thunderous strike by debutant Bernard Mensah.

The game was however played under a subdued atmosphere before an unimpressive crowd.

But Black Stars management committee chief is confident the team will benefit from a packed crowd when they face Mauritius in the opening 2017 AFCON qualifier on Sunday.

?A lot of factors culminated into that,? he said.

?First and foremost this game was a friendly and thus nothing serious at stake like three points.

?The promotion of the game was also not that much because there were even fears the match will not come on.

?But I am sure the atmosphere will be a whole lot different come Sunday when we play a competitive match against Mauritius with three points at stake.

?Already I have been inundated with calls for tickets so I am very confident of high attendance on Sunday.?
